The mission of the Rural Caucus shall be to promote Democratic values in rural communities, identify, discuss and address rural issues, accurately represent the needs of rural Democrats at all levels, provide support to rural Democratic parties and organizations, and to elect Democratic candidates in rural areas at all levels of government.

The Ohio Democratic Rural Caucus hosts four quarterly meetings with the entire membership of the Caucus. Please join us at our next meeting on Thursday, January 29th, 2026!
Quarterly Meeting Schedule:
The Rural Caucus is excited to announce that we will be hosting trainings on a monthly basis for rural candidates and activists alike! Each month we aim to explain foundational organizing concepts with an emphasis on how to make these organizing tactics the most successful in rural areas. The key to Democratic success means talking to voters early and often, but that will look different in rural Ohio than it will in our big cities. Understanding this reality and adapting our current organizing to be applicable to rural Ohio is the best way to set our party up for success.
We encourage candidates, as well as county party leaders, to attend and learn more about these tactics. We hope that these trainings can also be a space to have a dialogue about how you are getting creative organizing in your community and share your ideas as well!
To sign up for a training, please visit us at: https://www.mobilize.us/ohioruralcaucus/?org_ids=37771
Please note that our Votebuilder trainings will only be applicable to candidates and county parties that have already or plan to purchase Votebuilder for their individual campaigns.
